In 2011 Quality Logic Inc. conducted some independent testing comparing Brother's TN-3280 mono toner cartridge against remanufactured brands.
The results showed that Brother was the only compatible brand who could guarantee a consistent page yield. This means with Brother you can be confident you will get the same results every time.
Brother also outperformed all other brands in the quality tests with 99% of its print outs achieving the highest quality rating. On average less than half of the remanufactured brands print outs achieved the same level.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment Brother has teamed up with the Cool Earth charity to protect part of the Amazon Rainforest in Peru.
In doing this we are preventing deforestation, reducing CO2 emissions and allowing plant and animal life to thrive.
Our pledge provides support for the local communities to protect the rainforest around the clock, as they responsibly harvest produce, such as nuts, coffee and cocoa. They will also benefit from resources, such as classroom equipment and solar powered internet.

In 2010 Charisco Printer Labs and Allion Japan Inc conducted some independent testing comparing Brother’s LC1100 Ink Cartridges with 3rd party compatible cartridges. The results were staggering and identified a lot of issues associated with using 3rd party cartridges, such as leaking ink (which could damage the machine as well as wasting ink and your money), excessive cleaning (which wastes ink), ink streaking and blocking the print nozzles as well as the cartridges breaking .

| Brother original cartridges outperformed all 3rd party compatible cartridges in almost every respect in particular longevity, quality and yield stability. Brother framed photographs lasted over 100 years without fading, whereas the first 3rd party brand was unusable after 7 years. Without glass a 3rd party brand had failed after 2.5 years. All apart from Brother had failed after 25 years, whereas Brother lasted four times longer at 99.4 years.
